LEILA-ROSE WILLIAMS: The Update of ME
Leila-Rose Williams' Museum of Me celebrates her energetic and joyful approach to life as an 8-year-old who loves dancing, moving, and exploring the world.
On her day in the spotlight [every day] we welcomed 60 of her schools year mates and managed to secure a very special performance from the one and only Leila-Mix.
She is now 10 and we caught up with her, and her Mum Adele to hear their updates since we last touched base with them. Although not yet a museum star, for those involved under the age of 16 we ask parent or guardians to join us for all our meetings with their young museum star. Adele has ALWAYS been Leila’s biggest champion, and Leila-Mix’s special performance referenced “Mama told me not to waste ma life” [Wings].
Adele and Leila said:
“Leila Rose turned 10 in September.
She wrote a little story which was published called ‘The Stink of the Monster’.
She rode on the big dipper in Blackpool and absolutely hated it!!!
We flew out to Belfast to visit where our aunts’ sisters came from back in March, and celebrated St Patrick’s day in style!
Leila Rose says “hi Paul”… And what a memory for life it was having her very own Leila-Mix!
As for me... my life is very much boring compared to Leila Rose’s. But I have found my love of travelling, and I think the way to happiness is to always have something booked. Even if it’s a family meet up.
I have fallen in love with Ireland and I’m hoping to move there in the next 2 years.”
We can neither confirm or contest the conspiracy theory that this story was inspired by our Creative Director Paul. ^^^
