Extraordinary Us is an artistic production company, based in the West Midlands, aiming to question perceptions of personal or communal significance. We believe that we are all important members of the societies and communities we belong to and that each and every one of us are extraordinary.
Extraordinary Us hopes to find unique and innovative ways to re-approach what is considered ‘ordinary’ with a bit more wonder and delight.

As an organisation we are not keen on scratching the surface. We want to do what we can to meaningfully empower the people we work with and resource doing so in the most constructive way.
We consistently create a hugely positive atmosphere for all involved, and find the richest ways to make them feel just a bit more special than they might have before.

We are full of unique ideas that celebrate the ordinary in contemporary, innovative and proudly populist ways.
We create projects that people fall in love with, that brings a smile to their face and that boosts their self esteem.

As one of our projects younger participants Yousef (11) [Museum of Yousef Hijaz] “everybody has got an important story to tell about themselves”.
We fundamentally believe this to be true and hold this at our hearts through our projects. We are always looking for new opportunities to share the hidden stories that we all have to offer. -
We are up against a global agenda that is persuading us to be self critical and self dismissive. Together though, we might just be able to share the belief that our residents are beautifully extraordinary just the way they are.
